Recreation
The City of Winston-Salem aspired to create a new standard for its Parks and Recreation facilities. Their inspiration found form in Jamison Park–a space we designed to respond to the historical context of its site, to cultivate community and to educate. Jamison Park occupies a historically agricultural area of Forsyth County and the majority of its grounds lie within a flood plain. The outdoor classroom provides a covered area for flexible gathering to accommodate a class of 20, or a group of resting greenway travelers. The structure also includes restroom facilities.
