Housed within the Bailey South development in Downtown Winston-Salem, NC, Six Hundred Degrees is a live fire kitchen, social room, and bar. The restaurant approached STITCH to design their space within a portion of a former R.J. Reynolds coal-fired Power Plant.

Clarity

From the beginning, it was imperative to showcase the open, wood-fired grill at the beginning of the dining experience. To further enhance this, we added chef’s table seating at a counter in front of the kitchen.

Creativity

Going deeper into the restaurant, a partially walled full-service bar is presented that creates a private area while maintaining ease of flow. In the back of the restaurant, there is a private dining area, large dining room, and intimate dinner party zone, which is adjacent to the glass-walled wine cellar.

Confidence

In the back of the restaurant, there is a private dining area, large dining room featuring a hot-rolled steel fireplace, and intimate dinner party zone, which is adjacent to the glass-walled wine cellar.

Crafting An Unparallelled Experience

Through careful study of existing materials, we were able to seamlessly integrate old and new by maintaining board-formed concrete and integrating new, warm wood millwork throughout.
